“My passion to serve elders brings me to Get Care Of. I see a huge need to provide a basic support system to parents in case their loved ones are not near. I personally take great pride in all my efforts at Get Care Of. Whenever I get the opportunity to connect and interact with elders, I constantly strive to make them comfortable – I want to make sure I leave them smiling and happy.”
Devendra has a 4-year background in the Skill Development Sector, which he used to provide a Job platform for the unemployed youth of Rajasthan under the umbrella of Ministry of Skill Development named "Kaushal Bharat, Kushal Bharat".
“In a lot of ways, I am not just working with Get Care Of for our society, our elderly, my parents or your parents – I am actually building my own future and helping establish a socio-business model that works for all of us as we begin to age gracefully.”
Surabhi has a Ph.D. and Masters in Economics from Delhi school of Economics. With a 20-year illustrious career in research with several national and international organizations like Cornell University, CIMMYT, ICRIER, NIAP and IARI, Surabhi has also served as a Consultant with the Planning Commission, World Bank and ADB. She is well known in her professional world of agricultural economists and has several publications,
books, media articles and awards in her name.
She gave up her full-time research job and started working with Get Care Of, in August 2017. She is passionate about the vision behind this unique venture. She lives in New Delhi with her husband and in-laws and her only son is pursuing under-grad in USA.
“India is a country where nearly one in four individuals will be above the age of 60 years by 2050. Yet a country with ~1.3 Billion people and ranked top 10 in GDP growth does not promise a better future, infrastructure or services which can allow our elderly to age in place, comfortably and dignifiedly. I hope to move that needle in a positive way.”
She is herself a mom to twin girls and the youngest child of her ageing parents in India. Shradha moved to the USA about 13 years back. With an education from IIT Delhi and UW Madison, Shradha has led product management, marketing and operations for large global corporations in the healthcare, technology and Long-term care industries.
“I am a strong believer in the concept of Growing Together. Over the last decade and more, my passion around this concept has inspired me to implement it in several fields ranging from Social Services to Micro-finance to Politics. With Get Care Of, I am on a personal mission to leverage this concept and deeply impact the life of our elderly. For our generation, I envision that while we grow under the guidance and the blessings of our elders, we make sure that our parents grow older with well-deserved respect, dignity and comfort.”
Chetan was born and brought up in India. An Engineering graduate from NIT Jaipur, today Chetan works as a Software Engineer in Microsoft Corporation. Chetan currently lives in Redmond, USA with his wife and his two lovely daughters.
“I wish my parents can get some reliable assistance every time they need to visit their friends and relatives – why can’t someone help them with carrying their heavy bags, hail a cab, and remind them to not forget their medications and glasses.”
Charu lives in Redmond with her husband and 2 daughters. The seeds of Get Care Of were sown in her own home as she struggled to get help for her parents.
Kirti has a medical professional background. She lives in the City of Sammamish with her husband, daughter, son and her parents. She recognizes the challenges of an old age and is passionate about defining new avenues of elderly care.
